North Northamptonshire in 2021 will be a better place: a showpiece for modern green living within a high quality environment and a prosperous economy.
A Strong Network of Vibrant Settlements
North Northamptonshire residents, businesses and visitors will benefit from having a strong network of vibrant settlements with excellent transport connections.
Protected and enhanced built and natural resources and a framework for delivering the highest quality new development.
In Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, North Northamptonshire will have three growing and regenerating towns as it's urban core, supported by strengthened centres that serve the rural east of the sub-region. Just 50 minutes from London, St. Pancras, North Northamptonshire has 95% of the UK population in England and Wales within a 4 hour drive and is among the fastest growing areas of the UK.

Delivering in Partnership
The bedrock of achieving our ambitions is developing public-private partnerships using combined resources and expertise from both sectors to deliver sustainable growth.
We're already developing the physical and cultural infrastructure to support the housing growth and we're creating the commercial infrastructure to drive quality employment growth.
Strong partnership work is already bearing fruit with 100's of £millions already being invested across North Northamptonshire.
We're currently building more homes than the Thames Gateway or Milton Keynes with 2,113 built in 2006 rising to over 3,700 during the coming years.
With a planned population of over 370,000 people by 2021, North Northamptonshire will be a green, networked community with a larger population than many UK cities, with infrastructure, skills levels and career opportunities to match. All the benefits of a modern urban place integrated with some of the best green infrastructure and rural environments in the UK.
