On Friday the 5th of November crowds gathered at Colyers Gardens, Kingswood, to celebrate the opening of the Future Centre. The structure, erected to display the exciting plans of the regeneration scheme and also welcome sales to the site, demonstrates the delivery of another chapter of exciting regeneration in the transformation of Corby.
Presiding over the ceremony was David Laing, High Sheriff of Northamptonshire and Cllr Ann Brown, the Mayor of Corby. In their speeches both recognised the importance of the project and the reaching of another significant milestone for Corby.
Alfred Buller, Director of BeLa Partnership which is developing Colyers Gardens in partnership with Corby Borough Council, commented; “The Colyers Gardens scheme is incredibly important to the continued regeneration throughout Corby. Today could never have come about without concerted efforts from many partners working to one common goal.”
Cllr Jimmy Noble echoed these sentiments and was delighted for the people of Corby. “Nothing of value comes about without hard work and I am delighted we are standing here today both for the people of Corby and the continued regeneration of the town.”
Simon Evans, Chief Executive of North Northants Development Company, said:
“Colyers Gardens is another quality housing development for Corby and, as can already been seen, is providing a range of new homes that local people find desirable as well as affordable.
This is sustainable regeneration at its best and justifies all the hard work and careful planning that local partners put into making this development happen.”
Further good news was delivered by Simpson West, sole agents to the Colyers Gardens scheme. Simon Turner, Office Manager, explains, “We released the properties almost two months ago and can already report 34 reservations. We were always confident that the quality new homes would be popular and we are delighted so many people have recognised the opportunity and got in touch.”
The 146 home development boasts a wide selection of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes. Early Bird Offers are available until the show home is open, anticipated to be the end of November. With prices for a 2 bedroom home starting from £89,950, 3 bedroom houses from £98,950 and 4 bedroom homes from £129,950, the development will certainly continue to be of interest to many.
