Wellingborough
With direct links to London in under 50 minutes, residents and businesses are well placed in Wellingborough.
Major growth is planned for the town with separate developments at Upper Redhill and Stanton Cross to the East of Wellingborough proposing more than 6,000 new homes.
This growth provides opportunities to develop far reaching plans for the future of the town centre, which are now being assessed by the Government’s planning inspector.
Wellingborough’s Town Centre Area Action Plan identifies five areas of development opportunity and includes proposals to revamp and increase shopping areas and create a new campus for Tresham Institute.
Several infrastructure improvements are being progressed, including the Isham Wellingborough Improvement, which will provide a direct link from the town to the A14. This and other schemes, such as the Inner Relief Road, will strengthen Wellingborough’s position as a key investment location in North Northamptonshire.
