Corby

Corby is located just off the main east-west A14 between Cambridge and the M1/ M6 and only a hour’s drive from four international airports at Stansted, Luton, Birmingham International and Nottingham East Midlands.

Corby Cube SmallIts revitalised town centre is now served by a new railway station and direct hourly service to London St Pancras meaning the former steel town of Corby is well on the track to successful regeneration.

A key hub in Milton-Keynes South Midlands growth area, Corby has become an increasingly popular place to live over the last decade with new housing acting as a catalyst for major public and private sector investment in the town.

In addition to the new train station, Corby town centre has seen the opening of the modern £40m Willow Place shopping centre and the stunning £20m Corby East Midlands International Pool as well as the development of the £32m Corby Cube civic hub and theatre scheduled for completion in Summer 2010.

'The facilities are amazing, but the most important thing that I've seen this morning is the morale and the determination and the commitment.... Corby works best when Corby works together just as Britain works best when Britain works together. You should be incredibly proud of what you are achieving.'

Gordon Brown, Prime Minister,
25 February 2009, at opening of Corby Business Academy
