NNDC has a successful track record in helping businesses thrive in the region and over the years has developed a number of programmes and initiatives, which seek to develop co-ordinated and strategic thinking so vital to delivering balanced and sustainable communities.

Working closely with our partners, NNDC has also progressed a number of studies and programmes aimed at improving educational skills and training opportunities across the sub-region. In conjunction with Bee Bee Developments Ltd, Northamptonshire County Council and the University of Northampton, NNDC has also sponsored work on creating a business plan to deliver an Education, Learning and Skills Vision for the area.

Working with Northamptonshire Enterprises Limited (NEL), NNDC has helped developed a vision to ensure that job creation keeps pace with housing development. This will bring about huge benefits of increased productivity and investment and reducing the need to travel and out-commuting. It is also important that more high quality, value-added jobs are created in the right place to provide an attractive and balanced economic offer. By working with NEL, our Inward Investment partner, the Let Yourself Grow brand is helping supply meaninful prosperity to local business.

A helping hand can also be given when seeking financial assistance. Available in certain circumstances, NNDC can support businesses accessing funding streams. Please find below funding in the shape of Grants, Loans and Awards which are available in the area for;

Funding Central is a free website for the whole voluntary and community sector, including social enterprise.

Funding Toolkit is an online resource aimed at voluntary sector funding advisors and community groups allowing free access to information, advice and guidance on a range of funding programmes.

The East Midlands Funding index provides a snapshot of funders that will support community based projects and initiatives that are delivered within the East Midlands region.
