Former Tresham Site - Kettering

An agreement has been reached between Tresham College of Further and Higher Education and Loughborough-based contractor and developer William Davis Ltd that will see the college’s former Kettering campus at St Mary’s Road redeveloped to make way for a new development of housing and retirement apartments.

The scheme is due to be delivered in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the national housing and regeneration agency, which has conditionally approved a housing grant for the provision of affordable homes that meet the national standards for sustainable design and construction. These homes will be owned and managed by Waterloo Housing Group, a major provider of affordable homes in the Midlands.

Re-development plans for the 48 new homes at the St Mary’s Road site, which has been a centre for local education since the mid 1940s, have been produced by Tresham and William Davis in conjunction with North Northants Development Company (NNDC). The plans involve the construction of a mix of private and affordable homes in a location which is within a short walk of the town centre and the railway station.

Demolition has commenced at the site of the dilapidated former college buildings to remove a derelict eyesore from the area and pave the way for the construction of the homes on the site.
