Little Stanion is a modern village on the outskirts of Corby comprising 1,000 new homes in a parkland setting. The development will provide a range of homes from cottages and detached family homes to town houses and apartments.
A village in its own right, Little Stanion has been designed to complement the surrounding countryside, providing the opportunity for residents to enjoy meadows, playing fields and village greens.
Residents will also benefit from the village falling within the catchment area of the prestigious new Corby Business Academy which opened in September 2008. Designed by Foster & Partners, the Academy represents a £30m long-term investment in local education.
A new primary school is scheduled to open in September 2010 as part of £8m of community improvements to the area. A further £10m is also committed to road improvements.
Funding has already been secured for the £45m A43 Corby Link road which will provide a faster link to the A14 and greatly enhance the accessibility of Little Stanion.
